Spirit rectification
Rectification process
Liquid warming up, stabilization, collection of the foreshots
Pour the fermented wash one into the tank, degassed and clarified settings. Due to expansion heat of the liquid, we fill the tank with up to 90 percent. If we cook part of the wash, the heaters should be covered a layer of liquid, evaporation must also be considered of the spirit during the distillation process. In the beginning, we're heating with full power to warm up the poured setting. When the temperature in the tank reaches 80 degrees, the cooling water must be unscrewed the head. The temperature will now gradually rise in the individual elements of the column. First in the buffer, then on tenth shelf and finally in the head. At the beginning of the pair, no contain too much alcohol, so the temperature rises to over 80 degrees. After a while, the column starts to stabilize and the temperature in the buffer, on the tenth shelf and in the head starts fall. If we want to flood the column, which accelerates stabilization and improves the resolution of the column, we play it at full power. We observe at the same time in the viewfinder, if after some time the filling is not flooded with boiling liquid. We maintain the flooding for a minute and we're reducing the power to what we'll be with to carry out the rectification. If we do not plan to flood the column, from we set the power once and wait for the column to will stabilize. We know that by the temperature in the tank, in and it's stable on the 10th shelf. As follows concentration of the foreground, temperature in the head gently lowers. It is advantageous to fill the buffer partially and provide such the drain into the tank to keep it half-filled. In this one. the way we simultaneously prepare the foreground from the tank, where is several percent concentration and from an incomplete buffer, where the alcohol content is about 60 percent. With this the alcoholic contents of the foreground are released indissoluble at low concentration! The stabilized column is heated one hour, in the meantime, we're dropping the foregrounds gathered in of the head. As a result, the temperature in the head will rise by approximately 0.2 degrees. Then close the valve in the buffer, the temperature will start to drop, it may drop below 79 degrees. The final alcohol concentration in the buffer will exceed 90 the percentage, so far boiling fluid will calm down. If we don't have a big pond, we're dropping the foreground from the head again. The temperature in the warhead will rise again. We set the minimum droplet reception of the foreground from the head. The foregones that we received have a distinctive smell and taste. They never mustn't be consumed or redistilled - it's poison.
Extraction of heart
Heart rate starts when the column is stable for a long time. We open the valve of the lowered reception, flush it down a little bit of rectification and a precision valve set such a reception, to provide a suitable reflux. Heating at 2400W, having a 60 mm diameter column, we should not receive more than 25 ml per minute. If you have E-ARC, set the closure temperature 0.1 degree higher than the tenth electrovalve shelf. We take the heart out until the temperature in the buffer will rise to 90 degrees. As the temperature increases, the liquid in the buffer begins to boil gradually, and at the end of the buffer evaporates a significant part of the content. When the temperature in the buffer it will reach 90 degrees, should still be stable on the 10th shelf. But then we turn off the OLM and cutting the fractions heart.
Cutting the tails
After turning off the OLM, we open trigger the buffer to the keg and empty it of the chases that tails fraction. These chases should also be treated as waste and
Pour it out. Then close the buffer and turn off the heating. Alcohol from
the filling of the column will flow into the buffer, we drain
also the pond from the head, we will recover about half a litre in total
of a slightly lower concentration of spirit, which after collection
the right amount we need distilling one or two, more carefully.
Earlier, to the bottle where we collect the final fractions
of the process you can add 50 grams of activated carbon per litre
spirit. Don't has to dilute this, enough from shake it time to time,
keep it in the freezer. Whereas the received
the heart must undergo an organoleptic evaluation and possibly still
once to rectify.
If you want to get a lux spirit,
you should redistillating by the 2.5 method.
We dilute the spirit from the two processes to a concentration
60 %. When doing so, we must check that the amount poured into the tank
covers the heaters with some extra. Warming up again and
stabilize the column. The flow from the buffer to the tank is
completely open. After an hour's stabilization, we pick up the forecourt
from the head. Turn off the column and fill the tank with water to
maximum safe capacity. Close the buffer and
stabilize the column, and then run rectification it according to
of an earlier scheme. The spirit obtained is above the standards
laid down for lux spirit, not to mention the choice, or
the usual trade available :).
The fumes of alcohol at low concentrations are explosive, therefore
you need to ensure good ventilation. With a controller it is worthwhile to set
emergency shutdown when the temperature air in heat near cooler will increase e.g. to 40 degrees. Measuring sensor
the temperature of the cooling water is unreliable - it will not work in
if there's a water fade.
